Strangely Brown has entered.

Are there many boats being sailed under 97 rules? I can sail either but won't be very competitive for 05. So will sail her 97 if there are a few others.

Mumbles promises to be fantastic in '97 mode - we sailed there last weekend and the locals promise more of "big rollers, strong winds and 3 knots of tide to take you upwind".

I know Mandy is coming. Born Slippy is planning on being there, not sure who is sailing her yet*. The more '97 fleet there, the better the event.

*would like to come to this event adn don't have a cherub, please PM and I'll happily loan her.

I am sorry to say (officially) that Kate and I won't be coming this year (again!). Combination of a lack of holiday, a lack of sailing and an abundance of little toddling people has put sailing on hold for 2015.

We have discussed it, and all things being equal, we are planning to regain our 97 rules trophy in 2016 to prove that it wasn't a fluke. So make the most of it this year whoever wins it!

For those of you who want to come to the nationals but can't make all the days a pro-rata rate per day is available.  A pay as you sail of £40 per day, payable at the club as you register.

Hi Andy,
I cannot see any mention in the SI of the classes 5 knot minimum wind speed for nationals races.
Are Mumbles aware of this?

I think it's implicitly handled by 1.1 - "and appropriate class rules."

(And from what I can gather the PRO has them).

Looking at the latest weather forecast I don't think we will be worrying about a 5knt minimum.  More like will our boats blow off the prom.

The weather forecasts change on a hourly basis.
With anything between 0 and 45.
So basically something is going to happen.

With my luck, it will probably hit a fan and cause an aweful mess to surrounding people and or objects.
Thanks
