(now ex) Team Stanley can now only make the Saturday but are happy to help with the final slot of the day if needed. I am also putting together the for sale flyer.

we will only be able to get to the demo weeekend on saturday PM prrobably because of boarding, school, prob be there around 1 with cheese still on trailer

The Badger will still be in hibernation as is a winter shy bugger, but I will be unleashing 2303 onto the water for some single string symmetric mayhem! Can't wait!

I will look into accommodation locally, in previous years I have camped, slept in the car, stayed at Draycote sailors houses or stayed at the local Holiday Inn express so there are plenty of options. I would suggest that camping is a no go as it's too cold. (Tinner probably still remembers the night where he was attacked by the tent in the gales a few years ago around this time of year!)

for sale leaflet looks good.

I intend to put an article up on Yachts and yachting advertising the cherub class.  just seen an RYA article talking about home building but think we have some one-upmanship. What is our stand location?

Team Trim had an thouroughly enjoyable, but entirely unscheduled, 500 mile round trip in a van so missed the lot.

The dinghy show was a huge success for the class. We had a great spot and a lot of foot fall and interest from punters and other classes alike. Allen were keen to see how we had used their fittings on E-numbers and were interested to discuss block capsizing issues.  Equally.

We were visited by our friends from Alverbanks and Ardvark and notable sailing personalities such as Julian Bethwaite, Dave Hall and probably more.  Importantly a lot of class members were able to catch up with each other on the stand and for the chilli (er piza challenge) on Staurday evening. Many thanks for Will and lucy for hoasting this social and providing kippage.

Even more importantly we spoke to quite a few people who were keen to have a go in a boat at draycote. If you were them we look forward to seeing you.

The stand would have nt been such a success were it not for the enthusiasm of everyone who manned the stand.
We should also thank Simon and dean for getting some brilliant pictures blown up, leaflets printed and organising the logistics, Dan for liasing with the RYA and getting us a good spot in the show, the Kiddles for producing the DVD and the high quality book of our build. Paul helped by building the excellent boat stand.

Thank you for asking Sarah and I to display our boat on the stand. We recieved so many complements on our work in putting E-numbers together from public and professionals alike. We went home happy but tired.

The big news:

We were verbally offered the hall of fame at the show for our 60th aniversarry year .  This will allow us to show off several boats from the history of the class in the main corridor that connects the main exibition areas. This will require more effort than usual but is a unique opportunity that can really raise the profile of the class. We have some ideas of the boats that we would like to include but obviously finding them and bringing them to show standard may take some effort. i suggest that we create a small committee to look after this and next year's show.

I'm sure i speak on behalf of all that couldnt make it when I offer a big Thanks to those of you that did and put so much effort into class publicity. I did see someone Sunday who is definately NOT a cherub fan who had to admit the boat and the stand looked fantastic.

Any of you got any pics of the stand ?

Seconded - the boat looked great and there was much positivity.

Consider me/us officially volunteered for historical boat finding and bringing duties. We will definitely need help with boat prettying duties if any of these are required though.

A huge thanks to all for your help. It was great to see so many faces , There is a photo of the stand I will try to sort it later.
