Seconded - the boat looked great and there was much positivity.

Consider me/us officially volunteered for historical boat finding and bringing duties. We will definitely need help with boat prettying duties if any of these are required though.

I can volunteer a lovely example of a Forman 4c (g)  ;D

please find Simon's picture of the stand before the show had opened.

It would have been dificult to see the boat at anyother time because there were so many people around it.

Nice work chaps. I hope the leaflets were ok. I had to cut them all in half by hand with a Stanley knife as I couldn't find a guillotine at late notice!

We shifted quite a few leaflets but still had 2/3rds left at the end it was suggested that we would do better to put a few pictures on them next year.

Stand was looking good! Took a while to find it being in the "other" hall as opposed to the previous years.

Been for my yearly loiter, remembered my login details here, persuaded the helm - Jon and I will be there this year, 500's for sale, Jaw's staying at home to vehicle-related mishaps shouldn't interfere again. . .  All good  8)

100% at draycote now.
however bringing the boat is now an issue, due to the fact that i am replacing my car on monday where the new car lacks a towbar. is anyone able to come via rickmansworth hertfordshire so i can take suicide with me?

my other mode of transport with a towbar on it will be on the south coast full of furniture

100% a draycote too. cheese has just been re-roped a bit also to make it more "digby-friendly"

How many new faces are we expecting from the show? Did anyone take down any contact details to we can remind people to attend?

I spoke to at least four people who were keen to have a go, and directed them to the website to confirm if they could make it. Sorry didn't get their details.

i spoke to 3 or 4 individuals and couples who were definitely interested in having a go.  Again i suggested that they say hi on the forumn.
I didn't record contact details.

Perhaps next year we sould ask interested people to voluenteer contact details.  Personnaly I think it might provide a bit more focus after the show and people might attend however. We will have to be careful how that information is managed
I have someone coming up to look at Slippery too who wasn't at the show.

Thanks for the change to the start time Tim.

the hobie class were doing what you are thinking of. they were handing out forms to fill in with contact details. they just emailed me about my "interest" and i think its quite a good system.

Hi guys, I'm probably one of those individuals you guys mentioned above. . . I forgot the name of the guy I spoke to, though I remember he said he sails in Poole.  I am definitely interested to give it a try in Draycote on Saturday! I've got not car at the moment and was wondering if, by any chance, there would be anyone going from London that could give me a ride ;)?

Potentially going to Draycote, potentially buying a car on Thursday otherwise I'll be getting a train to Rugby and begging a lift from there. Either way I'll be able to meet you for liftage or trainage if I'm going.

I'm in Barnet, North London. Where abouts are you?

I'm in Swiss Cottage/Finchley Rd area but I can meet at any other place more convenient.  My wife vetoed the "buy a car on Thursday" alternative I was considering as well. . .  :(
