I have spoken with Tom Vian at Draycote today regarding the event. The general plan goes something a little like this...

Saturday AM. Arrive and rig up down on the open meeting beach.
Saturday PM. Due to another event being held, we may launch from 1pm until the lake closes. So plenty of time to rig up, chat and have lunch.
Saturday Evening. Drinks at the club and then go to a Pub / Curry House / Chinese... whatever seems appropriate.

Sunday. We can launch whenever in the morning, and can sail all day. If people want to then they can take part in racing.

As this is being pushed as a 'post show blast' the more boats we can get there the better. Ideally we will have lots of interested sailors coming up and having sails in the boats which are currently available second hand, so if they can be there, all the better!

As the first scheduled sailing event of the year (unless your name is begins with Peter and ends in Barton!) it is good to get out and blow away the cobwebs after a long cold winter. Even if you can't bring a boat, come along and I am sure there will be enough spare boats and sailors for everyone to get out on the water.

I will do my best to be there. I want to come and see/sail some boats to get some building ideas. Might be tempted to buy second hand instead and put building on hold though. I will try and chat to Mr Stanleys new owner and invite him along.

I'de say not, we want to show off the Cherubs. No distractions would be best I think.

Also, I know that the boys at Draycote had great trouble being allowed to have their 18's at the club and they have restrictions on when they can sail them. So probably best avoided for that reason too.

ah, unfortunately clashes with the first RS200 SEAS event.  As I'm the series organiser I had better show up.

great Simon,

thanks for the rosta. that's perfect for us.

We will be picking up the display boards this weekend and will see if we can get enough for 2 full sides of the stand.  i doubt that we will need all this.
We will prepare the boat to be in tip top show condition. I must bond the T-foil cleat support back on after I knocked it off on saturday.  I had bonded it on to paint which doesn't work by the way.
We intend to be at the chilli challenge. and would like to reserve some floor space please Will and Lucy.

I will look into bringing slippery up to the blast.

Look forward to seeing you all.
