Well worth the effort of getting there :) thank-you to everyone that let me borrow their boats at any point aswell, some quality cherubbing took place!!!

Ben-I have tagged you in a photo on Facebook regarding tension systems.

Thank-you all, I'm still grinning

What a cracking weekend.
Saturday's fairly benign conditions eased us in gently. A good sail followed by a free firework display and then to the pub for grub and rum.
Today was much fruitier with some seriously pokey gusts that didn't know which way they wanted to go, except it was always at least 45° off where you were expecting. . Still an absolutely fantastic sail.
Netley is brilliant. Great launching, loads of camping space and a decent bacon and egg butty. We will certainly be back. Thanks to Tim and Kate for organising.
Big thanks to Ben, Sam and Charlie for letting us have a little play in Atum. And a super special thank you to Maff for taking me flying in the zuffle. Who needs a t-foil anyway? Davro - that is a very cool boat - thankyou. And thanks to everyone else for your sparkling company. Ahhh. Enough of the love-in now.
  :) ;D   :) ;D

Thanks for organising Tim and Kate. We had an awesome weekend. Thanks everyone for your tips and especially to John for showing me just how fast Atum can really go. I am in the process of uploading the photos and will let you know where they are when they are finished. If you want full res versions I will put them in a dropbox and share it with you.

Thanks Ben - will be great to have a look.

I have posted a little taster on the UK-Cherub facebook page - taken from the trusty mobile.

a select few are up.
I will bring a load of dvd's of all of them to the Sticky weekend for those who want.
If anyone is a picture wizz then there are a few sequences of 5 or 6 photos that would look if they were animated.

The link isn't working for me either :(

If you drop me a dvd at the sticky weekend I can animate them at college pretty easily.

While we eagerly wait for Ben's pics, just a quiet word on behalf of the Crew's Union. Ratchets (working ones/ones that stay switched on after being kicked/sat on/submerged) for spinnaker sheets are nice. When it's blowing a 5, you could say they are very nice. Yes, when you are having that much fun you do just man-up and hold on, but gybing takes on a whole new appeal.
EJ's were plexused in the 'on' position some time ago after repeated bleating. I can highly recommend it.
My arms are surprisingly un-achy today, but my knuckles are a bit grazed  ;D

Ratchets are great.!  ;  Except  make sure the sheet end attached to the clew cannot squeze through and jam in there, that makes life quite interesting ::)
Once we were up and going it was brilliant!!!

Brilliant - Thanks Ben.
Although would just like to point out that that really unflattering position was required to pull the main down the track - perhaps Mr Hamilton will back me up on that one...? (and perhaps someone will re-sew the bolt rope).

I've paid a lot of money to get girls to stand like that in the past, If only I'd known a dodgy bolt rope would do the trick !

Seriously good work folks, I've heard nothing but praise for the weekend so my thanks to those that made the effort, may you bask in my shame at not managing to make it.

I can see that photo making the next newsletter; while on that subject, while its fresh in peoples minds please send me snips/experiences/gossip via PM for the next newsletter.

But presumably not wearing dry suit, 20+ layers of fleece and a trapeze harness?!?
