Ha ha. I wish. Sadly it's very much all work and no play. My birmingham drinking buddy has let me down as well so it's a sober night in a premier inn.  :(

Andrew would have been welcome (although very bored today) but best not set off now as i've just left. On yet another train, but at least i'm going home.

Oh, we're on rescue boat at thornbury tomorrow and forecast is peachy. Shame for us, but if anyone else wants a rib plus camera it might be a good opportunity. First race 14.40.

What time are people planning on being there for on Saturday morning? as i will be there with boat (bit of a rubbish paint job on top for just being able to get and try sail SB).

i will need a crew as most likely be just myself, but will have to be leaving early as have got a birthday meal i've got to be at in the evening.

so therefore count me in for saturday!

Most of all, just need to remember how to sail!!

I think we aim to be down there for 10ish as the boat needs rigging from scratch since taking everything off it for the refurb. The gates to the club are to be kept locked at all times by means of combination locks so I will send round the combination by text/email before the day just to save hassle on the day.

Sounds like we have a good few boats which is excellent.

As Andrew says, there will be fireworks on in the country park next to the club and they will be closing the gates in the evening so we will have to work around that otherwise they may try and charge you extra for getting in! For those staying we should be able to see them from the club though at no extra cost.

The club are also doing a halloween type night in the evening putting on food, drinks and a live band. This costs £5 and is for a 3 course selection of pumpkin soup, chilli with rice/nachos and pumpkin pie for desert. This sounds quite good value but we can of course decide on the day whether we stay there or head up into Hamble for food. (or if it's been windy we may be super hungry and need both!)

That sounds like a lot of pumpkin! But cheap... Bumper crop from Netley's allotment owners?

Not 100% sure of our arrival plans yet. Will probably arrive around 11, but outside possibility of R having to work in London on Saturday and dropping me off en route with boat or some other permutation.
