sailing without a harness on the boat could be difficult.
I am not sure that Nick's first experience of a british nationals should be anything like that.
Not until he gets his own boat anyway.

Excellent work... all we need now is an entry form! This should be available in a day or so. We should be sorting out online entry which can be paid by card or paypal. (that's right... even if you dont think you can afford it, there is time to put it on the credit card so no excuse is valid! ;-) )

The £120 entry fee provides excellent value for money as Largo will be providing food and entertainment on most nights. (those who went last time will remember the excellent finger and fork buffets which gave us strength when the wind was blowing!)

Good to hear that Suicide will be attending.

Tom to do the official reading the numbers, and me to hold the other end of the tape measure!

Do we need to bring measurement certificates and proof of insurance and things like that not having done a nationals before wasn't sure?

Tom as discussed briefly at Thornbury, could I ask you to measure and weigh what you can of E-numbers at the nationals at a time that is convenient to you. I realise that the measurement sticks are difficult to transport so I will make a future apointment to bring the boat to southampton for you to measure.

Egbert,

It would be prudent to bring Insurance and measurement certificates but In my experience I was never asked to declare a measurement cert for slippery.

Another topic for discussion at the AGM could be should certificates be reissued when a boat changes hand so that it has the correct owners name on the certificate.

Don't worry too hard about the measurement cert. Tom has a list and will re-weigh/measure you if suspicious (he is bringing the sticks and scales).

As for insurance - if you can't find the paperwork then most good companies can email you a copy.
