Weston Grand Slam
« on: February 15, 2008, 09:21:38 PM »
I know Hoppy is going with his new crew, Mr. Noyce is going in either the Daemon or the Kestrel. Simon will be there in Loco (home club so you better be out!). Obviously I am going unless the crew decides that he can no longer go. Who else is going? There is no NOR that I can find so can anyone tell me from previous years what the schedule is? When do races start, how many etc.

Cheers

We will probably not be at Weston this year (for the first ime since 2003).

We'll be on holiday celebrating Lucy having sat her exam!

It seems young Ross is confused again. As weston is on the south coast and whitstable is on the north kent coast .  We may be keen, but that is definately too far for our home club. As for the grand slam we would certainly be going if Dean wan't on call. Last but not least I see it's your birthday soon Ross, you may think about asking for a globe, to help with the geograpy homework!

We hope to be there with 'Slippery When Wet'.

just got a bit more work to do now after a collision with an underwater object on Sunday.  I've fixed the centerboard, just have to fix the case now.

The object appears to have been the end of a concrete slipway which is a bit above the bottom of the lake.  Yes I was thinking about tacking but was also on a lift  heading towards better breeze and hence reluctant to tack.

Hope to sort out the shroud plates at the same time.

We land from Malawi at 6.30am on Good Friday after 24hours travel time (via Nairobi) - aiming for the Saturday, but may get down on the Friday if I sleep on the plane!

AFAIK not everyone reads Y&Y and I was looking for a more Cherub sailor specific count up.

Skiing/drinking in Adelboden, Switzerland. Some skiing fans might know the infamous world cup slalom run they have there. Clear blue sky and fantastic slope conditions all week. The off piste was a bit mashed up though. All topped off by the fact my brother and I weren’t at each others **thoats** all week.  ;D

All topped off by the fact my brother and I weren’t at each others thoughts all week.  ;D

The things these youngsters get up to? In my day we simply punched kicked and gouged. Now it's all mind games...
