Eleanor in the Winter
« on: November 06, 2022, 08:42:31 AM »
Some time in the new year Eleanor is getting a little work done.
In no particular order ,
1. New blocks and Halyard on the kite system.
2. Kite sock repair.
3. Re velcro case.
4. Adjustable uppers.( With current sails minor adjustments are needed through the wind range)
5. Shrouds to go through the tip of spreaders. ( Stiffen mast and reduce the chance of breaking)
6. Change jib car position and control take off positions. ( Allow adjustment from the wire)
7. Twist grip t foil. (Same reason as above.)
8. Angle  wheelie bars in and add inner take off point. (Ergonomic route of departure for the elderly)
9. Remove paint, re paint and re pro grip.(the old stuff is falling off)
10. Build a new gantry. (The old one needed upgrading to take the new t foil)
11. Repair t foil. ( Wobbly tooth foiling was ineffective at Sheppey)
12. Varnish mast.
13. Consign a temple vang to the temple unwanted carbon oddities.
14. Conceal a rocking chair symbol on the hull. (Why not and it keeps the superstitious happy)

Other than that I need to,
Build a garden office.(from scratch my design not a flat pack)
Re varnish and generally tidy a Firefly
Fit / upgrade some topper bits.
Other than that not much happening this winter.
Oh well if I get board I could watch the antiques roadshow ( is that still going).

So it begins!
OK so its not exactly Winter but next week I will start the Winter work. I have given myself 1 week to do everything.
The first arrivals are the paint and resin.
