I do'nt think Slippery's 91 rules main will be a step forward.  I took it out of the bag once and believe that it would require a few repairs.

The older 97 rules sail was completly delaminated so went in the bin.

If you have the money spare after the buy then a new set of sails for the old man could be a fitting touch, might also be worth contacting Laurence - he has just done a similar job to Sgt. Murphy (AKA Last amber Dragon).

Probably as much area as is humanly possible on a 91 rules mast. Would have thought a fully battened laminate sail with a rounded head. but im no expert.

91 rules jib made from dacron (fully battened) would cost £230

91 rules main made from dacron (fully battened) would cost £500

91 rules main made from pentex (same stuff as atums main) would cost £530

Thats all fully tailored to fit the boat properly.
