Pre lacquer preparations.
« on: February 08, 2017, 08:52:27 PM »
I plan to lacquer some parts I've made, but I'm wondering what finish said parts should have.

Is it possible to get a good finish on parts that still have the peel ply texture on them?

I'm lazy and I hate sanding. Especially if it's not needed.
Thanks
Jamie

It depends what you want to achieve. If you are just looking for uv resistance and lightness, no prep necessary. If you want it to look like a piece of art, you'll need to put the work in.
