There is a serious lack of fancy dress.

Maybe a £10 limit on charity shop challenge?
Thanks

Point 14 in the SI's could be an issue.

I see the sis do have a grand prix finish option for lapped boats, but not quite sure how that gets mixed in with the special short leg to finish option. Pls if that were used could someone report back how it worked and how satisfactory. Always want to learn from other experience.

I'll post a photnof the results from today later.

Mainly battered and very tired looking crews with giant grins

The results sheet on the rtyc website suggests an even higher attrition rate than usual. I'm guessing it was windy? Any info or pics gratefully received by those of us unlucky enough to not be there.

Saturday: no racing, RC binned it before I even turned up - gin evening.
Sunday: racing on, lots of cherub talk of not launching out of that bloody harbour. Ronin went then the rest followed. 22-28knots? (Please disagree if wrong) - then Caribbian night.
Monday: little bit windier. Waves were a bit bigger. AGM/curry.
Tuesday: light winds, 8-14 knots. Prize giving.
Wednesday: not sure. Light winds with a pursuit race. Clive/Si any news?

Ronin. As 3rd place privileges, can you you get the write up sent to me soon, I'm expecting photos next week ish.

As ever. What a cracking week. Thank you all.
Thanks
Jamie

not launching out of that bloody harbour.

When we sailed there with the 12 Footers a few years ago the harbour became known as "The Toilet of Doom"

Great photos of PJ and Roland on a 2 sail reach, Jonny and Alex approaching and Clive and Alex in flying mode. On the RTYC web

Not sure what my highlight of the week was.
It could well be seeing Shirley at full pelt downwind on Monday,
But also seeing born slippy round the top mark in 5th(?) on Monday in light winds with Rohana and Virgnia (Aus girl).
Or maybe it's seeing Paul Croote and ed finally win the Simpson trophy.

Anyone else care to add?
Thanks
Jamie

Best day for me...

On the Sunday race day. WOW - good day in Green Bananas.
Nick and I recorded 18.5 Knots out to the start line for the first race. During the race we recorded 19.5 and later in the day on both 3 and 4 we thought we were significantly faster however, the puck didnt record anything faster than 19.5 which was a surprise.

Nick has made a superb effort in making a fantastic boat. Only in race 4 were we slightly overpowered upwind on some of the bigger gusts.
Therefore, the boat has great potential for more speed. Early days and a few mods will make it even faster.
