Hi, Its looking bleak on The Fuzz being ready.
Still to do -at least 2 weeks full time work.
Does anyone know if there is there a boat out there for Joe and I to charter? Or a boat for Joe to team up?

Well there are several good boats sat around gathering dust because of other priorities.  I'd try the Kirks or the Noyces, both have serviceable cherubs that spend more time on land than in the water......or if you want foiling practice then Riot Van

Are we weighing boats?
I will be there on Friday if it is something people want to do.

Right,  Jamie and I have organised an extensive social programme for you all as follows:

Friday - champagne reception Happy hour 7-8
Saturday - gin evening. 7pm regatta party.
    Sunday - Caribbean rum night.
Monday - Cherub AGM at 6pm (or a sensible time after racing if late off the water)  followed by a curry
Tuesday - prize giving - pie night!
    Wednesday BBQ garden party

Whilst we would like to take credit for this extensive opportunity to party, this is mainly centred around the club and regatta programme - the beauty of joining an organised event.

I am now contemplating coming down Friday night. I will be crew less for the event but it seems a small price for evenings of. Champagne gin and rum.

You should take all credit Andy, although the sailing may suffer a little😀

A few wise words of warning from my week in Torbay.

Don't leave anything in the boats over night. Pretty much all of robins kit was stolen this week along with  others toolboxes stashed under covers in boats. Currently I'm missing boots, a buoyancy aid and kite sheets for shiny.

The bar staff are lovely, but are a bit strict on outside alcohol being brought in. Maybe that is because it's a youth event so will be more relaxed with us.

The car park between the launch area and the club is £8 for 24 hours (bring coins)

Anything else you want to know. Just ask.
This week was exelent, just a shame about the local thieves.
Thanks
Jamie

Sadly Torquay does attract a pretty rough crowd in the evenings.. so i cant say I'm surprised that you experienced that.

I do have a spare XL BA Im bringing if you need to borrow it come find me.
Thanks
Greg

HI All

the AGM agenda for Monday nights AGM has been published here:

http://www.uk-cherub.org/forum/index.php/topic,2223.0.html

The social calendar is looking packed:

Friday - champagne reception Happy hour 7-8
Saturday - gin evening. 7pm regatta party.
Sunday - Caribbean rum night.
Monday - Cherub AGM at 6pm (or a sensible time after racing if late off the water)  followed by a curry
Tuesday - prize giving - pie night!
Wednesday BBQ garden party

Please remember that all entrants to the nationals will need to be members of the class association at this event.  We know there are a few of you entered that are not paid up members yet please get this sorted.

If anybody is unsure please get in touch with myself before Thursday so we can confirm the bank account otherwise we will be coming round the boat park asking for subs paid in cash.

Hope to see you all this weekend.

Looks like conditions for a first foiling winner - Saturday no sailing, Sunday sailing very borderline, Mon-Tues perfect foiling weather.
