Kite sheets

What diameter sheets are people using? Strangely has pretty thick sheets which are a bit rubbish for light winds because they drag in the water. However I don't want to go so small they start shredding hands

6mm is adequate. 7mm is plush. 8mm is for fairys.

Poppy - 8mm but mafioli - so feels thinner and no core. Very light liked by crews
EJ - 6mm mafioli - I crewed this 8 days agao and loved the lines in my hand - again no core and very tactile rope
BS - Had "float line" bright yellow sheets. Everyone loved these except Maf and now people grumble the cored 6mm is not nice on the hands

If buying again - 7mm Mafioli or an 10mm rope with the core removed if a cheaper option presented itself...

... Either way its better to get time on the water than the correct string!

If the helm is buying the crew unlimited numbers of new pairs of gloves on demand  then they can use what they like, otherwise it should  be the forward hands call. Admittedly though IME halyards do more damage than sheets.
