just bought Slippery When Wet, need a rudder!!
« on: June 06, 2015, 11:35:46 AM »
Hi, Slippery When Wet now resides at TATA Steel SC in Port Talbot South Wales! Brought her back from Stoke on Trent two weeks ago after laying dormant for two years. Ben Butler last sailed her at the Nationals where the rudder was lost and the spinnaker pole was snapped. It's my mission to get her back on the water! She's without a dagger rudder at the mo. Ben believes it's a standard Naca stock ( I'm a total noob to cherubs!) if anyone can help me source one I'd greatly appreciate it!
Cheers Rhys

Awesome!! I own strangely brown which is also at tata steel sc. Am I right in thinking that slippery when wet is a dog design? Will she be coming to the nationals at mumbles?

If I can source a rudder and a new pole in time, it'd be great to make the nationals!

Any tips on rudder finding?

Send a message to Phil Kirk, he had slippery for a while before selling her to Ben.
He is also likely to know what section the foils were.

I have a spare stock and t-foil, if you can make it fit without damaging it you're welcome to borrow it for the nationals if it gets another boat on the water ...
