Also do you have s small piece of dowel we could relieve you of?
The plan is to take off fittings and rub down with 380/420 paper as suggested by int paints at home this weekend. Then get a coat on Friday night and then one on Saturday Afternoon

Simon, you can arrive any time Friday, the workshop is quite empty at the moment. We start at 8am.

Unfortunately not arranged anything, as i don't have the materials or money for materials. looks like ill just repair and use the bent pole for a while until i can make a new one

After this weekend i will start to put footage together and dont want new stuff coming after I start.

If you bring your old pole we can redo the joint to be flush and straight, I have enough materials spare for that.

Hi,

Due to time pressures I'm just down Saturday and my plan is:

i. Make good Loco's mast

ii. Shape the trailing edge of the new foil - screeding and cladding will be done at up and coming Midlands Sticky Saturday TBA

Will bring lots of various materials (carbon, epoxy, peel ply) which can be used (contributions to my beer fund welcome)

Thanks very much for the offer, but it looks like I'm sailing on Sunday, and I've got a few more bits to sort out on the boom and on the hull on Saturday before it goes to get sprayed!

Well the sticky weekend has started, New Tricks has a nice new bit of veneer over the damaged transom, and some dowels/pegs in the surplus holes in the deck.
Tomorrows plan is to Finnish those then paint the hull interior before masking up and varnishing the woodwork.

New Tricks was looking fantastic yesterday and it's a shame there won't be room for two boats at the show

Many thanks to Paul, Roland and Jamie for sterling work on Loco's mast. It turned out there was less wrong than feared and with a little more carbon around the spreaders we'll be back to as new.

Loco's new foil made good progress and I can now finish it at a Midlands Sticky Saturday.

Lots of laminating of foils going on there today.
