Damaged T-foil

I have somehow managed to damage my tfoil, not sure whether it was trying to get off the beach at Netley this morning or whether it was damaged when cheese was being towed back from Weston. There appear to be two puncture marks where the damage has been done, does anybody have any ideas on how I could fix this?:) thanks. Tom

Is it the flat section of the wing, or the blade section? Is it deep and is it structural? (meaning damaged to the point of flexing and making noises when pressure is applied). Whatever it is, it looks like some carbon will be needed as well as resin. Ask for Clive as he is near to you and a Guru!

Can't see how this could have been damaged - looks like towing injury or something placed on top of the board.

If you put the tips on a some blocks and flex it downwards. If nothing creaks or "breathes" then I'd go for sand it down, apply filler and try not to land anything heavy and sharp on your foil again (was it a trailer arm?) ....

Its the blade section of the wing, its cracked through as its taken on water so I presume it is structural, we've had to drill a small hole to let water out, but it doesn't creek or make any noises. Will probably look at filling it, dad seems fairly confident  after flex testing it that that might be ok. More confident with filling it than carboning it at the moment. Will give it a test on Sunday and if it doesn't work out it'll give us plenty of tine to get it repaired before QM.

Was about to say that if it was still attached to the boat I could head down and take a look at lunch time. If not, no worries.

It looks from the photo if the cracking is in a surface layer of filler and the carbon underneath is intact. Depending what has been used the filler can be more brittle than carbon. 

But you've fixed it anyway so hope all goes well.
