Day 1.
Stormingly good Cherub sailing. Currently it is
1) PJ in cool beans
2) Croote in Marmite.
3) The boys in Eleanor

Sure there are some photos of the 25 boats here to follow

Day 3 - No Wind
Sunbathing and Pico paddling :-(
3 races consitiutes a series, so with tomorrows forcast for another drifter, PJ starting to look cautiously like a champion in waiting.

BBC Weather says clear skies and hot for tomorrow, so maybe some chance of sea breeze?

Day 4.
Dawns bright, sunny and sadly breeseless.
Strong hopes for a thermal before the 3pm cut off.

Scoring works like:l

-no racing PJ wins it
-one or two races and then PJ and Croote are favourites and the winner on the water gets it.
-3 races and we get a discard and clive is back in the  hunt.

There are multiple sets of finger s crossed for the different options.....

3 races with a 90 minute  drift between 1 and 2.

Race 3 started with 5 minutes to spare.

Simpson cup is now in the hands of Jill and Andy Peters.

It is wonderful how open the racing currently is with 1-3 covered by a few points and then 3-6 in another group separated by small margins. Can't wait to get in the mix...maybe next year.

My highlight (apart from Sam's singlehanded sailing in Loco, with kite from the wire) was definitely Babbacombe Corinthian Saling Club delivering pasties to the fleet while we waited for wind...awesome hospitality.

I can't believe you ate all the pasties. I didn't even get offered one. I had to make do with boost fondue squeezed from a soggy wrapper.

We didn't get one either, smells of outside assistance to me. We spent the afternoon humming "Apache".

Hmm we may need to get a whip round for the pasties more to follow...
I may possibly have ordered pasties for the entire fleet when I "swam" to the committee boat for a cup of tea at the start of the postponement ;-)

PS G+E,  thanks for the exploding on contact rotten crab. It worked a treat for H's hangover.
