I'm looking for a twin wire cherub, to move up from a current national 12 but my helm has much more experience including moths and fireballs etc although he doesn't have too much trap helm experience, meanwhile I have kite and trap crewing skills along with hiking crewing skills any help would be appreciated.

Have you spotted the for sale page?

As far as I know Natural Born Skiffers is the only one currently officilally on the market as I think Cheese before bedtime is spoken for but Roland (Born_Slippy on the forum - not to be confused with the boat of the same name) is the man with the inside track on boat availability and will no doubt pop up soon.

Where are you based? Nationals are at Babbacombe next week and we're a helpful, chatty bunch
Previously 2685 'Loco Perro' and 2345 'Tachyon'

Come on down to Babbacombe if you can. You'll see lots of different boats, a number of which will be coming up for sale after the nationals, and you'll almost certainly get to go out for a spin.

If you can't make it down, let us know where you are and we'll try and sort something out that works for you.

If A+E is as fast as Hayling Island SC think there'll be quite a few up for sale  :)

(not sure I quite believe it though - I suspect perfect Cherub conditions)

I can confirm that Poppy and Born Slippy are not for sale :0)

However, the rumour is that at least Cheese and Ronin would be available to tow away form Babbacombe for the right collection of £20 notes.

Hayley is right, the best way to evaluate which boat is the huge collection of them that is happening over the BH weekend. PM me if you fancy dropping by. Note the only time people can be reticent to take out joy riders is days 0-3 of a nationals. After racing on Wednesday however you'll be amazed how willing the fleet would be to get you on board.

Hello, I'm the helm / dad of 'Hartley' above. Sadly away for work until Fri of next week.  We are near Southampton, any chance of a trial nearby?

Tim Noyce

Hi there,

There are potentially 2 x 2005 rules boats and a 97 rules boat at Netley which we should be able to arrange a trip out in for you after the nationals. Not sure of the availability of either of the 2005 rules boats, but it will at least help you make an informed decision regarding what is best for you.

Cheers,

Tim

JayHaich

Thanks, any contacts at Netley?  Good luck for Nats. JH

Tim Noyce

Me :-) I'll message you after the nats to arrange something if that is Ok.

I'll add to the list of known comming up for sale as 3209 "duck wars" currently at Netley. She's a very light Ellway 5.
She'll be in the boat park packed up - leaving Friday if you are near Netley.

I'll be talking to the owners at the nats and expect the "for sale" part of the forum to look a bit more busy in a few days.

Hello again, anyone around at Netley / Weston / Hayling etc Sunday 8th or another date soon, keen to see (& hopefully sail) whichever boats are available &/or for sale.  JH

Tim Noyce

Hi JH, I am sadly away F18 sailing this weekend but plan to be back at Netley the weekend after for perhaps a whole weekend. I'll see if we can rustle up some more boats to join in the fun. Feel free to give me a call on 07828662185 to arrange something.

Cheers,

Tim
