Trim address is near BS31 2BG.

There are some fairly good B&Bs within walking distance of us (and plenty of floor/beds). The Crown which was voted "grottiest B&B in the world" by PJ last year has sadly gone bust, been redecorated and now may not do rooms.

Hello, me and Digby are hopefully coming to this, but our transport has dropped out, what's the nearest train station?
Thanks
Jamie

Transport to Bristol on Friday or early Sat AM.
Looks like the Draycote 4 will be Cheese and Badgers. Need to confirm soon.

Having read the NOR I notice that they refer to RS standard SI's.  I appreciate that these are not available on the Chew Valley site yet but do we know what changes these SI.s make to the Rules and if there is anything we should be particlarly aware of?

Link to RS Association Standard SI's

http://www.rssailing.org/docs/RS_SI_2012.pdf

There doesn't look like there is anything out of the ordinary. A couple of things that standout,
1. You can touch a mark, but not manhandle it if that results in an advantage
2. Minimum windspeed 4 knots
3. Penalty, 1 turn rather than 2 for certain RS classes, I would assume that we would be included in this
4. Races can be brought forward to allow for inclement weather

See you all there, let's hope for good weather

As the laps can be crazy at Chew, it would probably be best to also suggest GP  finishes.
Am fairly sure that is standard.

Un fortunately our boat is not going to be ready either.
We are now aiming for an Easter launch at HISC.
It is frustrating I have fond memories of Chew from my time at Bath University. and was looking forward to returning.

Looking forward to this weekend - there will be a warm welcome at ours despite the chilly temperatures outside.
All welcome on Friday night as well as Saturday. There will be food on Friday on a take it or leave it basis (spaghetti bolognese is currently the front runner).
Saturday evening will be a BYO BBQ - we'll provide BBQ and essentials (bread, some sausages, ketchup) - bring whatever else you want to cook and eat (preferably dead or at least unconscious). Vegetarians will be allowed to use the oven if preferred  :)
The club will be doing bacon butties etc in the morning, so breakfast will be tea and toast.

There are beds for 6 (I am open to bribery, otherwise it's whoever shouts first). Then there is loads of floor space so bring your sleeping bags.

PM or email me if you need directions.

See you all at the weekend!
