Sam's first sail in Loco Peero

0-5 knot wind went to 12 knots in about as many seconds with full rig and kite up on a small lake with boats racing around us.

Sam thought it was great (so did I) and nothing but compliments for Loco...she has caused quite a stir at Bartley.

There is one !14 that sails there occasionally and the helm introduced himself saying, 'If you can sail this here you can sail it anywhere.' Which coincidentally is just what I've been saying to Sam.

2 capsizes (with kite), 2 successful scoops and one torn mainsail...not too badly and I'd spotted a weakness there already.

Sam (who has never been interested in racing) has asked when we can start... ;D

...and he's enjoying burning other boats off at last

sounds as if Loco is performing well, She caused a stir at Whitstable when we first had her. Well done to you both I look forward to seeing you on the water soon.

it was similarily weird 20miles away in chelmarsh, i was sailing a laser though :'( might cycle over tpo bartley to say hello some time

If I've recovered and get some greenhouse tape we might be there tomorrow...actually I think it's windy so we'll use the smaller main
