We are looking forward to helping finish this off when we arrive on Sunday.

Typically no wind for over a month, then it all comes in on Saturday!!

Stump peg is 40x16mm and mast is on zee roof!

Shall do, thanks for the heads up. I’m planning to get it to the club and first sail this weekend so I’ll take some measurements of it on the stump.

Hi Paul,

This sounds like a fantastic opportunity to get my son involved so he can learn how to help look after Loco.
We will bring her mast along as it’s had a strange repair in the past, possibly lost its mast foot at some point. I’ll attach some pictures.

We can only make the Sunday unfortunately, travelling over from North Baddesley (Hampshire) and happy to bring anyone else along who doesn’t mind cherub banter, cheesy music with some Indy rock for good measure for 2hrs solid……. Music is optional

Hi Andy
From memory I think your mast is quite raked compared to the stump in the boat. If you have time it may be worth rigging and making a cardboard template of the angle so we can make the mast foot to suit.

Hi paul_croote

I hear your running the largest t foil in the fleet…….. may I enquire to your size and feedback please?

Loco came with some “extra hydrofoils”, and I’m thinking about making a light wind t foil with the spare rudder.

One for the sticky weekend perhaps?

Paul croote has currently the “biggest t foil” and does not feel like it slows him down in breeze, his pace on windy days says he’s probably right get it stuck onto a vertical and find out !!!

Excellent, the boat came with some “spare hydrofoils” as a previous owner was looking to make Loco fly by the sounds of it.

I see this foil either for a high spec wing foil (bit of fun) or perhaps a light wind t foil…… I also have a standard rudder blade, so my plan is to teach Evan how to make a t foil :)

No, wing span limits has been talked about in the past but there is currently no rule saying how big you can go as long as you’re not trying to trapeze off it
