There was a good camera mount idea at the show this year the pin for the Rudder was large enough to attach a stick to.
The benefit was that the pin didn't move unlike a boom mount.

We had a great sail out of the harbour in some interesting conditions, if only we had remembered to start the camera.
Small steps.
Camera charged tick
Camera mount fitted tick
Camera attached tick
Switche on doh.

We are working on getting a drop box for the class to put roughly chopped footage in and then we can edit down.

Sailing Stories / Videos of Cherub Sailing
« Last post by Phil Alderson on May 20, 2024, 09:56:43 PM »
There has been some chat about getting more videos of Cherubs sailing. I have been taking a camera out for most of the sails this year, and am working on different ideas in the editing but think there is a lot to learn. Was thinking it would be good to have a thread here to share tips on how to get better video.

The most recent one is from a few weeks back, trying out a new camera mount on the boom. I have some video of me making the mount but not sure if I can edit it down to something interesting.

Food will be chilli and rice served at 17:00.

We can go to the pub to drink after. There is a George Michael tribute act on.

The grafham open format has changed. The fireballs have cancelled because some of their boats are still in containers on their way back from the world.

The format now will be just is on the Saturday, potentially doing 4 races. Then Sunday we will be in with the fast asymmetric for club racing potentially doing 2 races, still on a w/l race course

Apologies for the slightly compromised sunday format but at least we still keep our inlands

Evening all,
Rutland have been in contact with me about cancelling our open meeting next weekend.
We have been given the option to hold mini blast on Saturday with a W/L course on the Sunday club racing.
I believe the 4 cherubs that have entered are intending to go, more the merrier.
I believe the evening meal on Saturday will go ahead as they are hosting a talk of some kind.
See you all there!
