New Builder Announced for the Cherub Class

The Cherub Class is proud to announce that Hartley Laminates will be the production manufacturer of the Cherub Dæmon, which is going forward for the ISAF Women's High Performance Dinghy Trials in April.

Hartley Laminates is a rapidly growing boat builder renowned for building top quality boats at exceptional prices. Their current production builds are the Wayfarer, Osprey, Kestrel & Supernova. All of these classes have benefited from the involvement of Hartley, primarily from investment in complete new tooling sets and fitting jigs. The attention to detail and value for money is second to none.

The Cherub Dæmon compliments Hartley's range and will be incorporated into their portfolio, regardless of the outcome of the ISAF trials. Visitors to the Hartley Laminates stand at the Dinghy Sailing Show (C20) will see the build quality of the boats and the attention to detail in the fit out for themselves.

The Dæmon is a new Cherub design which is an evolution of the established successful Simon Roberts 'Slug' design. As a production boat it will provide sailors with boats to buy off the shelf and a ready source of spars, sails and foils. If the Dæmon is selected for the Olympics, it will become a separate one-design class, but because the boats are also Cherubs they will still be able to race in this exciting development class.

The Cherub Dæmon is an exciting new way of enjoying Cherub sailing: A ready built high-performance skiff featuring Hyde Sails and Selden Spars. Think about it: What else offers all this for under £7K?
