Wonderous Wanderous

Wanderous (Hawkesworth 2 698) has an amazing survival story. This boat was first registered in 1963 having been designed and built by A Hawkesworth of Wolverhampton, Staffs, after his 1959 nationals win. The boat was to be sailed at two clubs called ECSC and LCTSC.

She has shown up again, complete and in working order, and is on the way to Draycote SC to become a sailing exhibit of 'the way we were'. She has been bought by a consortium of local cherub sailors who want to keep this bit of Cherub history alive.

These photos show the lightening holes in the centreboard, the very fine cranked tiller and the beautiful, ahead of their time, rolled side tanks.
