UK Cherub Travelers Trophy Rules
1. The Travelers Trophy Series is governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS).
2. Series prizes will only be awarded to members of the UK Cherub Class Owners Association.
3. The Series for a particular year will consist of all the events on the calendar of the Class website, Facebook and Class Forum, starting at the beginning of the year and finishing at the end of the year. The Travelers series does not include the National Championships.
4. If an event is not sailed for any reason, but is rescheduled for the same venue on a different date, it will still count towards the series.
5. If an event is cancelled but an alternative event is found for the same date, this will be counted towards the series instead.
6. A team’s entry for the series shall consist of either :-
• a boat and helm, whereby the crew may change
or
• a boat and crew, whereby the helm may change
7. The scoring will be as follows:-
• When fewer than 3 events have been completed, a boats score shall be the total of her event scores
• When 3-8 events have been completed, a boats score will be the total of her event scores excluding her worst score
• When 8 or more events have been completed, a boats score will be the total of her event scores excluding her two worst scores
8. The overall winner will receive the Hereford Road Safety Trophy
Other prizes may be awarded at the discretion of the Committee.
