Can I get a ride at the weekend?
« on: March 11, 2008, 03:54:41 PM »
So everyone is coming to Draycote at the weekend, we've broken Simon's boat and he's away skiing.  And I don't think mine will be finished in time... ::)

So if anyone wants to take me for a quick blast so I can get my Cheruby fix I'd be very grateful!

Thanks

Iain

I think FS will be slightly under ragged Iain. Are you going to be taking the 18 out?

Ross-yes, that's the plan, need to do some emergency netting bodging as at the moment it has holes large enough to stick your leg through!

Hoppy-sounds good mate!  I've never sailed Atum...

Where are you up to with 2687 then Iain? Does it look like a boat yet?
On the subject of 18's, some blokes at Tynemouth bought a truly antique 18 called "Old Snapper" last year (including Chris Tack, onetime owner of Cherub "Lost in Space"). I mean this thing makes Ericsson look like something from NASA. It's currently lying in the corner of the boat park in a number of pieces, but I'm sure it could be returned to being a good weekend blasting machine (easy for me to say!).

2687 looks exactly the same as it does in the picture I'm afraid...I've done nothing to it.

However I am getting all the bits together, got all the fittings, board arrived last week, carbon tube has just arrived in the UK, so we'll get going on her soon.

The Badgers Nadgers will be available for play on Saturday for those who want a go, just as long as no one breaks it... that's my job!  :P

We plan to do some "serious training" on Sunday so hope to be playing in her myself then  ::)

So that'll be a quiet night in on Saturday, with the coaching books, Higher&Faster, your new nutrition regimen and plenty of rest then Tim?

I'm no longer able to attend due to the new job (or lack of) and car/van (and lack of both) status.
