The Chilli Papers.
« on: May 22, 2016, 08:52:16 AM »
Ok this year has taken some time to get going.
After some really good crewing by Isaac at Sheppey Chilli has had some trouble finding a crew.
After putting adverts up everywhere it was clear that chilli was too hot for most Dorset based sailors,
that or Chilli's helm has a bad reputation (probably both).
But last Saturday Lara came back for the first sail of the year and is keen to get back soon.
Then on Monday Chilli was introduced to a new crew, thanks Simon.
Even in a force four we stayed upright and reasonably fast, not bad for a first go in a Cherub.
Yesterday saw the return of Hayley.
It was 18 to 25knts and the only way to describe it was Epic.
Tacking was much easier than last year and downwind was really comfortable.
Wave skipping is easily my favorite part of sailing.
Next week QM cant wait.
Thanks to everyone who has helped find me a crew for club racing etc.

Normal rule is that once you are sailing the thing you find a queue....

Good luck Dave.
