Weston Grand Slam
« on: March 09, 2010, 10:40:20 AM »
Thought i would split the topics for the weston events,

I am hoping to do the grand slam, either in the sk4, or loco depending on how windy it is, and if i have a crew sorted

Anyone else?

Count us in.

Tim U will be there in Slippery as well unless she has been sold by that point.

Come on lets make this a bumper year for Cherub numbers on the water.

Lots of wind at Weymouth last summer (25knt+). A little arrogance on my part, having been sailing Flat Stanley in that sort of weatrher quite comfortably. EPIC close reach over the harbour, which was a lot of fun while it lasted, then I sent Tom K flying through the mainsail. Too much wind and not enough ability on my part.  :(

It was a fun reach though! Our proper downwind leg was exciting too...

I am looking for a moderate to medium wind crew for Weston on at least 3 possibly 4 days.
Lara is only able to do the liht wind races if there are any so I would like a standby crew.
obviously if there are only light wind days we will not leave people sitting on the shore all day.
Anybody interested contact me.

I'd sugest talking to him. I think weight is not really the issue when it comes to heavier weather !
