wht ropem do peolple use, anyone else do whatwill and lucy do with their elastic?

P.S> wht size rope do team leee use to thread elastic through???

We currently have 5mm excel racing on ours. I am intending to try the elastic rope concept.

We have jsut elasticated some fo the cheapest rope B&Q sell for exactly this.

You are looking for what is often described as chord, braid only, or very cheap rope. Previously we use the casing from an 8mm rope. The core had died and it had snapped, but the casing worked well for a long time.

We are currently using John Lewis knicker elastic...

We recently did this to Loco's trapezes it works really well. I bought some cheap rope took out the inner about 2 meters for each, then threaded half the length of elastic through and stitched each end. I think the rope was 6mm and elastic 4mm.

We use 5mm excel racing, (or the cheaper 'excel pro' would be fine). 5mm cleats better and is easier on the hands than 4mm.

The elastic inside the casing option is interesting but I have never tried it. I preffer to try to keep my rings at the right height relative to handles by adjusting the trap string length 150mm ish with splicings (pre race for a given wind strength). If you do try elastic inside the casing be sure to watch it very carefully for wear - one went on someone unexpectedly at the RS800 Nats.
