Having a bit of a clear out of the shed and have decided to get rid of the T-Foil which came with 2648. All us 97'ers know that people that use T-Foils are trying to compensate for a lack of length elsewhere...
Anyway, this T-foil is in an International 14 inspired + configuration with the horizontal foil located mid way up the blade. Countless races / championships have been lost over the years due to T-Foils being built too light and easily broken... this is not one of those foils. This is a reliable workhorse of a foil, designed and constructed by a boat designer, guaranteed not to let you down when the pressure is on.
The stock could perhaps benefit from a little neatening up as it is certainly a function over form type affair currently. The build was apparently done before the Weymouth Nationals in 2007, where it was cured using an F1 Composites inspired baking technique involving a parcel shelf of a Renault Clio, a bin bag and the August Sunshine. (who remembers the Summer of '07? It was a scorcher).
The stock uses an Ovingtons Twist Grip system which moves the top pintle within the stock. This means that as long as your gantry is strong enough, then you can fit this engineering masterpiece to almost any boat with minimum work. I believe that one was sold on here recently by our resident International 14 buddy.
Couple of pics attached, but can get actual measurements if anyone is interested.
A bargain at £50 all in. Located near Portsmouth. Would suggest collection only as posting isn't really an option due to the size and shape although might be able to get it to an event.
