The worse sort of news - Paul Clements
« on: April 14, 2014, 04:43:12 PM »
Dear all,

It is with a very great sadness that I finally get around to updating the forum with a thread about Paul Clements.
The details are sketchy, but he was involved in a fatal accident late last week and the bubbly, Pwllheli welly wanging owner of Shiny Beast is no longer with us.

This is a serious shock for all of us and I'm sure there will be many of you wishing to pass on your thoughts to Liza and family.

I'll post any more details as and when we have them. Roland

Is there a something we can do for the funeral flowers or a collection for a charity etc.
words fall short when they are needed the most

If Liza suggests a charity that Paul was keen on count me in. He will be greatly missed.

I have just seen this today. I am deeply saddened and will miss seeing Paul at the Nationals where I have no doubt he would have been at the centre of things, especially where fun was on the agenda.

I am in the US but my thoughts will be with you on the 1st May.

My condolences to the family,

Nigel

Sad news indeed. I didn't know Paul well, probably we met just twice, however even in that time I found his energy infectious and his enthusiasm impossible to ignore.

My overriding memory wasn't of the wellie throwing, but of teaching the (over 18 of course) kids drinking games in the bar at Babbacombe. A totally right and proper thing to do, they needed teaching and he taught them well.

I know from the conversations I had that Paul was an innovative thinker, he'd found the right class in the Cherubs, as well as all the other places he'll be missed the Cherub class can add its name.
