Tom is desperate to sail Cheese this weekend (its almost a home fixture!) But unfortunately his crew is slap bang in the middle of his A levels, not a problem for Tom only being 15.
Does anyone out there in Cherub world know of someone that can either crew or helm with him both, either or ether days.Perhaps have a contact at Western that may be intrested or know of someone that is?

Cheers!

I'm all for supporting the club. However I'll wait and see what dinner is.

Tom, I have a crew for you for Sunday if that helps? He's very good fireball sailor and has sailed a cherub a few years back

Thank you Polly, that would be fantastic!:) so that's Sunday covered, anyone know of anybody who might be up for the Saturday?

Thanks to Weston for a great weekend.

Sadly my mistake with the expanding foam on Wednesday led to a rather disastrous Saturday and crew with two dead arms on Sunday. Sorry for leaving early, but it opened the option for getting sailing on Wednesday.

Was fantastic to see you all, especially Fuzzy looking both awesome and quick.

Hi all.

So how did this event go?

Can the team that came third please get in touch with me about writing a report.

If anyone has any photos it will also be helpful.

Thanks

Northerly, extremely random, more akin to Wierwood than Weston, Clive very quick as soon as there was any wind.  7 boats there I think, 3rd boat Dean and Simon.  We sailed like heroes or zeros, mainly zeros cunningly positioning the boat to avoid all beneficial shifts.

It's Weston - there were no beneficial shifts, just swirlies off the flats near the top mark. NB may need to ask race officer for nationals kindly to not hide the top mark up in  that corner...

In a northerly it is the best option they have. The wind comes down the Itchen valley.
Putting the windward mark under the hill and trees by the club, or along by the country park is much worse.
The course was already very short. They cannot go into the shipping lanes.
Don't ask the race officer to change it. It will make it worse.
They know their venue better than we do.
