We will be missing this one as well - clashes with the RS200 open at QMSC.  Shame.   See you all at Weston (open and Nats)

Notes for Weir Wood Cherub Open

1. On Saturday the club is also holdings it's annual open day. Please be aware that our training team will be taking people for taster sails. Our race area will be away from them but if you encounter training boats whilst going to or from the race area please give them plenty of room.
2. Please rig on the grass by the waters edge near the dam wall, launching is available nearby
3. Please put your cars in the car park as soon as you have dropped your boat off.
4. We are hosting a BBQ in the evening at our house, Tabetha (willingly volenteered) is sorting out all the food, it's just £5/head to cover costs, please pay at registration. All you need to bring is wine and beer. Plenty of floor space available for the night.

Sailing Notes (full details in the sailing instructions)
1. Start sequence will be 3,2,1, GO. Be prepared for quick turn arounds between races
2. Boats may hit the windward and leeward marks without penalty, but must not manhandle them. Boats may not hit the gate mark or committee boat
3. One discard after 7 races, 10 races total
4. Target race time 25-30 mins for the lead boat
5. Windward/leeward courses with upwind gate

I'm sure the report will be along shortly. But a great weekend not spoilt by the frustrating lack of breeze on Saturday. With only two races sailed on Saturday we stuck to 20 min sprint races on Sunday with the lead changing a couple of times a leg due to slightly different wind directions.
The hobbits showed excellent boat speed and narrowly missed a couple of bullets. Paul and Peter had some up and down results, in the end after 8 races the results were 1st I hate light winds Dean and Simon 2nd Paul and Peter 3rd Phil and Dave in E numbers 4th Mery&Frodo 5th Ben and Nick.
The social laid on at chez Jenkins was awesome, so many thanks to Paul and Tabitha.
