There was some great sailing over the weekend but it was very very busy.
Saturday was a Goldie Locks day. The first race was a bit light, the second just right and the third a bit windy.
On the second one we managed to break clear from the pack of 12 Musto Skiffs + others and once in free air could sail competitively.
When in the pack it was very hard, both in the light when we did not have the speed to get through and in the breeze when every manoeuvre seemed to let boats back past.
The mass pursuit race on the Sunday was once again in a strongly building breeze. On the last 5 very short legs we traded places with Luke Patience in the Fireball 6 times. He snuck inside us at the final gybe as we hesitated to stay upright and took the win by just a few seconds.
Paul and Peter were going much faster than their results give credit to.
They beat us in the first race and repeatedly swapped places with us in the first half of the pursuit race until they got too friendly with an Osprey.
I think that a lot of sailors will have seen more of what a modern Cherub can do. Hopefully the publicity will be spread further in the press reports.

I have never before heard of left over Port and Stilton.
