Rusty and cold

I sailed Sarah's Byte C2 in the breeze at Frapton on Sunday feeling very rusty in my boat handling.  I also couldn't feel my hands for half of each race so had trouble grasping the control lines.

Off wind and in the strong gusts the Byte initially wanted to become a submarine but soon popped up onto a rapid planing reach and was realling in Solos and Ents at pace.  On the wind i found that lots of kicker and cunnigham worked well with the gust response rig and I was able to sail much faster than all but the laser.  I broke the cunningham though.
Not bad for a boat that has just had a PY increase of 6 points.

You may also do well to look at the section on freezer gloves in the members part of the forum Phil. My hands were the only part of me that was not frozen on Saturday.
