To Dinghy Show helpers

As you'll have gathered, there will be a bucket on the stand to collect for the British Heart Foundation. We are trying to collect the weight of a Cherub.

To give you a little incentive, if you make a note of the weight of the bucket at the start and finish of each session, I will give a "special prize" to the team who manage to increase the weight of the bucket the most during their slot (by legitimate means - ie coins only please!).
For those of you with shorter time slots, I will factor this into account in an accurate and scientific manner. But I expect extra effort anyway.

Don't ask me what the prize is, coz I'm not telling. But it will be better than a sticker and a lollipop. Honest.

H

Working? Is that what you call it? I thought you were manning the 3.7 stand?  ;)

End of day 1 - Hope you are all doing well. Looking forward to seeing Marmite and towing her back West. Have to admit looking even more forward to next weekend and handing Paul a pint to accompany his giant post sailing grin.

Another huge success at the Dinghy Show, the Cherub class does itself proud again.

I lost count of the compliments we recieved, not just for the astonishingly pretty boat, but the quality of the stand, the information and the enthusiasm of our sailors manning the stand - for a class of our resources we really stand out and people do notice, I believe this is slowly but surely translating into numbers on the water.

A huge thanks to Paul for finishing the boat, and Pauls wife and kids for living alone the past month - to everyone that manned the show especially those there both days and that helped with transport, fixtures, stand setup  and deconstruction, you know who you are and so do we. The long term future of the class is built on the kind of work you guys put in, so thanks again.

Someone had better have it in mind to be building another new boat for this time next year, the bar is set pretty high now !

Really good weekend for us. Well done everyone. Big thanks to all who helped in any way, particularly to those who stayed til the bitter end to help pack down. And especially to Phil for safely delivering Marmite (and me) home.
I'm putting in an order for for a nice force 3-4 this weekend and will be begging Paul to take me for a spin  :)
