Just seen there is now a poll in the members area regarding preferences for start times.

Message from Paul Clements. He's new for this year and appears to be looking forward to the sailing next week as much as the rest of us:

"Saturday was last day of practice in Shiny B, and it was superb. Cleat angle improved. Tacking improved. Gybing improved. Liza improved. Boat speed improved after fiddling with the jib. Changing gear as conditions varied went well."

Nice to hear it. I am officially properly excited about it now. Looking forward to sailing some nice big windward leeward courses to make a change from the interesting round the cans courses at the club.

Just looking forward to actually going out in Slippery don't think I have sine Chew and that means Feb god that's bad just hoping I can still squeeze into the wetsuit quitting smoking and having to have about 6 weeks off work has not helped my waistline one bit and am now back to my body building weight but without the muscle just large amounts of flab.  Need to get much fitter since my Sister has talked me into a triathlon that she's just done for the second time next year!

oops.  We left at 6am this morning for the Nationals as I have a couple of days work in Warrington.  This evening we realised the ladies and second place trophies are still safely in Sunbury.  If anyone is passing the M25/M3 junction on their way to the Nationals could they do a short diversion to our house, pick up the front door key from our neighbour and collect the trophies?  If so please PM me.

Last time I did a Nationals at Pwllheli the police would wait at the end of the lane to the club in the evenings.

Several sailors got done for DD.

looking forwards to seeing everyone at Pwllheli, just a quick and worthy note for those who haven't been before, the beach has a very shallow angle of attack so when the tide goes out it is a long walk to the water, I'd suggest everyone checks their trolley tyres are in order  8)

At the Mirror Europeans in Troon in 1975(?) it was so far back we used to put the kites up with the boats on their trolleys to help blow us back up the beach...would this work with Cherubs?
