Dear All,

Our Fiesta years are over due to baby arrival!

Red Ford Fiesta 1.9 Diesel, R Reg, 50k, 5 doors, tow bar, sunroof. Radio (+casette!) which works, RDS.

Does >60 mpg on the motorway and never less than 50.

Never let us down, and can pull a double trailer no problem. Easy to drive, easy to learn on, easy to replace if you bend it. Most of the parts are the same as the transit, so every AA man in the galaxy can fix it very fast. Parts v cheap.

(Previous blue diesel fiesta had a clutch lever fixed in 20 mins by an AA man)

£[price removed cos its now in auction] - bargain.

(insure it 3rd party only - cheap cheap!)

[going on ebay on Saturday. Then you will have to bid on it.]

Oh yes - just MOTed today. It needed a new exhaust part plus some bulbs etc.

A year of motoring for v little cash.

If anyone is thinking of a cheep car I would suggest this would be a good buy.
In my experience you can pay a lot more and only slightly reduce the chances of picking up a car shaped nightmare so a known source is very important.
John I can't imagine there is going to many cars cheeper ti insure than a fiesta.

The thing about a cheap ordinary car is that first you save by paying less to buy it, then you save by the insurance being less, then (because it was so cheap to buy) you save again by insuring it third party only. After that you save because the parts are so cheap. With this particular one you save because it uses so little fuel. If you are a man (esp a young man), having a low powered car reduces the chance of killing/injuring yourself and/or someone else too. This is especially true if you yearn for a fast car.....

Dave, you'll be surprised at how much an old, small and  perfectly reasonable powered car can be to insure for a 17/18 year old!

I was paying just over 1K for the micra with my dad as the first driver.

just done a bit of research, to insure your car will, i would need £4,858.16 a year premium :'(

Add some electric motors to the tricycle to drive the back wheels and add a tow bar and off you go.  Could take a bit longer to get to L-O-S and you may need to stop to re-charge but no need for insurance or petrol.
