Hi,
I could ask my buddies privately but I thought this might interest others.
I am planning the laminates for Loco's new foil. This is the new front lifting foil (details will be posted on Loco's page when I can edit the Wiki again) and is an experimental foil with a wooden core made at the Sticky Weekend.
I am planning a lay up of carbon mat covering the whole foil but I think we also discussed a vertical central strip to add longitudinal stiffness/strength.
What weight/weave of carbon for each of these and any comments on laying up?
Also, should the lifting foil be mounted before or after lamination? It will be easier to mount it before lamination but lamination and vacuum bagging will be easier without the lifting foil in place...perhaps I have answered my own question?
