Ronin has an accident.
« on: July 07, 2012, 09:22:10 PM »
Ronin got hit on the M25 today. Rudder stock took the majority of the impact. This is the third time I have had a boat  hit whilst on the road. Hopefully get it repaired in time for Weymouth

It gets worse our beneteau 40.7 was also involved in a port starboard incident as well which resulted in significant damage.

Waiting for the third accident now.

The bright side is never too hot in this case, but at least Monkey Marine is near Castle Cove.
Good luck, if there is anything we can do to help please post.

Been there too and feeling for you.

Most will know that E-numbers got rear ended by a fiesta doing 30MPH in 2010 just before the nationals.  I don't know what the cost of the fiesta's repairs were but ours were quite high (covered by the insurance).  We concluded that the 2 inch wide 2 tonne ratch straps do the job and the thinner ones don't.  conversley the bigger straps do a lot of damage to the boat but stop it becoming a misile which could make your insurance void.

I hope you get it sorted intime for weymouth.

We got hit by a private taxi in queuing traffic. I think we where gently rolling forward at the time which limited the damage. No one hurt. Having checked everything over Sunday it's looks like the rudder stock is the only casualty. Started a repair yesterday should be finished for Weymouth but not that pretty. Taxi firm so far have been very helpful.

See you all at Weymouth.
