I can't think of an example, but older heads may be able to.

I have half a memory that they were banned before 1984. Certainly the current Australian rules don't permit them.  I don't recall anyone playing with them. I don't seem to be able to read the 1972 rules posted on the website to check, and I handed all my archive material over to Will.

My personal opinion is that there are more useful areas for development.

The 1974 rules open OK for me and they banned gybing boards.

So does this mean that they're still not allowed in 05 rules?

What about having a trim tab on the daggerboard?

The centerboard must be on the centerline but there is nothing about it rotating

Hmmm, excellent news. Might have some foil development / experimentation on the Badgers board.

It doesn't say anything about bilge boards though.. ;)  ...  but you would also need a 'centreboard' of some (probably very small ) variety.
