Yo. Sounds like you had a great breezy weekend and well done for getting out on the water - I didn't manage it.
It sounds like there was little damage to report but in case it is of interest to anyone now we are in the windy season I am open to offers on my 'kit form' potential Cherub mast. It is stored undercover in my lean-to and I keep banging my head on it! Could be a good sticky weekend project for someone, (or maybe even for the class to hold as a ready spare if hull designs and rig geometries are a little more uniform now?) ;
RS800 mast. Broken twice in the near same place and was deemed a right off as a RS800 mast. However it could be fixed up as a Cherub mast, removing the effected length. The total length is 7390mm (Cherub masts are about 6800mm max). After the first brake the top section (above the top spreaders) was replaced for new, so that part has only seen a few events use. The mast is proven fast winning a RS800 Nationals and he really wants to race again. Fittings, 2 sets of adjustable spreaders and a full set of rigging is included. Currently the mast has fittings for halyards, but these can easy be removed if no halyards are required by Cherubers. £400 = Call Peter B. 07912101590, Email:- peter(at)skifftastic.co.uk
