A 3 day Nationals this year at a venue we last attended 10 years ago (they remember us fondly).
The race programme is likely to be as follows:
Friday - 4 * 30ish minute races starting after midday (we are on our own)
Sat/Sunday 3* 40ish minute races per day (shared with the Solutions but the fleets will be kept as separate as possible - likely they will sail an outer loop)
No race to start after 15:00 on Sunday and prize giving ASAP after racing
There will be evening entertainment Fri/Sat night.
It is likely there will be (free?) camping next to the club available Thur to Sunday - though my experience is don't leave anything in your tent whilst on the water.
Sailing will be in Milford Haven which should be near perfect for Cherub racing. I hope we can break the 20 boat mark this year.
More details to follow - but who will be joining Usagi?

Unfortunately this is a no go for us :(

As I am Pembrokeshire based would be rude not to turn up.

A truely epic venue.

Banshee is almost certainly going to be there, most likely with Rosie and myself sailing her - looking forward to it :)

anyone need a crew or helm for nationals?
Lots of experience in Fireballs and 505 - but not yet sailed in cherubs 8)
65kg and probably a bit rusty, but I'm fit and super keen!
Based in South Wales and happy to practice as much as possible over next few months.
Ultimately looking to get my own boat.
cheers
Shane

Ok - I jumped the gun and buying 'Comfortably Numb' from Tim Noyce
super excited and now looking for a crew for nationals, brave enough to take on a 'first time' Cherub helm ;D
Yeeeehaaaaaaa!!

Poppy or plan R
If there is a strong noise about a Born Slippy loan or even a Poppy Loan then please PM me now

Just walked in the door, thought id add something on here for those that missed out, and boy, did you miss out!
First thing that has to be said is, what a club PYC is and how helpful everyone was. The bar was well stocked, launching was easy and the sailing area was very decent (maybe got a bit too left hand bias)
Weather: Unlike the moths who end up saying 'its not usually like this' it being wales, we knew exactly what we were in for RAIN! Mind you, there was wind too.
I feel the fleet has come a long way since even i joined in 2013. Starts have massively improved. During the race, places are being fought for, hard, instead of just waiting for someone to fall in.
I'm really loving the class at the moment, but know i face some difficult questions if i wish to get to the next tier.

Epic Nationals.
Still grinning and still struggling to walk
