Title: E5 Shell & Deck - free to take away
Post by: Stuberry on January 08, 2018, 09:32:55 AM
I have a glass/foam Ellway 5 Hull and deck, taken off the same moulds as Antidote, Usagi, E numbers and Evo. It was started by Ross and I in our unemployed days, at Bethnal Green Marine, using whatever scraps we could scrounge. The project came to a sudden halt when we both got jobs in 2009 and has sat in my parents garage since.

I need to make room in the aforementioned garage for the return of Strawberry, so it must go THIS WEEKEND. If no one wants it, it’s going to the dump on Sunday.

Hi Stuberry, Couple questions more to help others and yourself.

1) - where abouts does it need to be collected?
2) - what state of completion is it in? any photos or information others can use?

Good questions:

1) They are in Welwyn, not far off J6 of A1(M)
2) The hull shell is a glass/foam/glass sandwich structure of the outside of the hull. Laid over the E5 mould and taken off leaving the shell. Next step would be to fit bulkheads and spine, for which I believe there are templates in existence somewhere.
There is also a glass/foam/glass dish deck, taken off the E5 deck mould in the same way.

I don't have any pics, but this is a photo of what a glass cherub shell looks like:

Bump on this thread.

It’s in my parents garage and ‘out of sight out of mind’.

They’re losing patience and want rid of it.
