This is about the early 70s Kiwi scene and mainly about Geoff Stagg (later one of the key people in Farr Yacht design) and his John Spencer offshore racer Whispers II. However 5'12" in there's some stills of Cherub 607, Whispers 1. Home boat builders may also enjoy the story some seconds later of him waking up having had a nightmare that the chine he'd put on that evening had broken... and what happened next...
