ok this is my last call for help befor i give up and i don't know what with the boat!!!!
i am the not as happy as i was owner of dr huffer after i rescued it from a dingy park with a big hole in it but since i have owned the boat it has not had a kite that is usable and for 2 years have had it sat in the barn fixed but unsailed due to this problem i have tried a number of time to  get one on this forum and have even tried the aus fleet with no luck i can't afford a new one so this is my last atempt.

Hi Jim,

Sorry you have not had much luck, part of the problem is that there probably not have been any  kites of that size made in the last thirteen years so there are not many usable ones left.

What sort of condition is the one that you have?

It might be worth investigating whether 2nd hand asymmetric kites from other classes might be approximately the right dimensions, e.g. Buzz, ISO, RS400, maybe even 29er. The seam lengths shouldn't really be that critical. One of the great things about the Cherub is that if your new kite has a slightly longer luff, you can just use a bit more pole length, or fit a longer bowsprit (for that generation of boat an old carbon 60 windsurfer mast used to do the trick). If the clew isn't in quite the right place, it's usually no big deal to shift the turning block on the deck.

Jim,
I think all the collection we have are larger - tey are at TSC at the moment and I'll see if anyone can pop by with a tape in the near future.
Do you still have the old one? If yes then please PM.
