Mike Cooke ( Banshee builder ) is currently 3rd at the Moth Europeans sailing his own design of Moth, in challenging conditions!

Sailing Kevin Ellway's design of moth... With Kevin's Foil Package...

The foils I'm pretty sure are Kevin's, but I'm not sure about the hull... I thought that Mike's current AXIMO was the 4th? iteration of Mike's own design.
Anyway he came 5th overall which is a bloody good result. In pretty mental conditions. Talking the Mike the other day he felt him could of done better but was backing off because it was so windy. When he started to really send it, he had top place pace. But he did comment on the fact that the work that needed to be done next was on the wand feed back system. He runs a quite flexiable wand where as the top 2 boats had a very stiff wand with a system that geared down the response form it, making there boats less twitchy in heavy air. His system gave almost too much feed back making the boat slightly more twitchy.

It is Kevin's boat.
EDIT: By which I mean Kevin's design of boat.

but all credit to mike, who built and sailed the thing!

Sorry thought he was in his AXIMO. He was in the NINJA. But yes a good bit of yachting.
