Does anyone know of any household alternatives to colloidal silica? I haven’t got any and need a thickening agent.

As soon as possible. The plan is to chop off the useless bits of trailing edge, rebuild it with some tiny nails and glass tape folded over the top and wait for it to go off (hair dryer and bin bag oven!). This will provide it with structure. I then need to get back to shape with bog and it will be near impossible with runny epoxy.
