Title: New Cherub Design - Xmas 1
Post by: Neil C. on December 25, 2016, 12:50:27 AM
Well, I had an hour or so with nothing to do this Christmas Eve, so I decided to design a new 2005-Rules Cherub. I don't know how to use CAD properly and in fact after a few glasses of wine I couldn't even be bothered to use a ruler. But nevertheless this ship is designed entirely to the rules and is properly scaled. The length of one piece of A4 computer paper is equivalent to 3.7m (loa), therefore half that (A4 paper folded in half), minus a little bit is 1.8m (maximum beam) and half that again is 0.9m (maximum chine width). Here are the building frames. Merry Christmas everybody!
